Item 4.01 Changes in Registrant’s Certifying Accountant
On March 29, 2021, Universal Logistics Holdings, Inc. (the “Company”) engaged Grant Thornton LLP (“Grant Thornton”) to serve as the Company’s independent registered public accounting firm to audit its financial statements for the fiscal year ending December 31, 2021. As previously announced on March 23, 2021, the engagement of Grant Thornton was approved by the Audit Committee of the Company’s Board of Directors. During the years ended December 31, 2020 and 2019, and the subsequent interim period through and including March 29, 2021, the Company did not consult with Grant Thornton with respect to any of the matters or reportable events set forth in Item 304(a)(2)(i) or (ii) of Regulation S-K.
